Brand Collaboration

I was asked to create a mock collaboration between an artist and a brand. I chose H&M as the brand and myself as the artist. This project has given me an opportunity to explore different positions in the motion media field, such as director, producer, and editor.

When I was given this project, I had an initial idea of creating a t-shirt and a jacket to show the brand of H&M and collaboration with an artist. Since I was the artist I chose for this project, I decided to dance to show the product in a fun way. Dancers usually wear comfortable clothes when dancing, so I thought of a t-shirt with a design I created. I scrolled through my camera roll to see what I could draw for the design, and I saw a picture of my eyes and thought of a motto, “Eyes of Han.” This quote branched ideas for my project and my entire motion designer logo. “Eyes of Han” means visualizing and creating artwork through my vision and expressing myself. After knowing the logo and the branding, the project became easier for me to approach because I had visions that came to my head. I asked my classmate Meg Aki, the videographer, to collaborate with me to create my project. I could direct the shots and give ideas on how to show the brand and the artist together. This project made me realize that I love my work and always thrive on learning new things. I learned how to direct and plan the cinematography for this project to capture the collaboration project. This project also gave me a logo and a logo name. Overall, I learned that I love collaborating and combining ideas with others and learning new motion graphics aspects.

Below are some of the scenes and processes for this project!!!
